Written when I was sitting in a room, on the floor, alone, when I was very, very depressed. Honestly, if I didn't have the ability/opportunity to sing this song into a little tape recorder at that moment in time, I seriously doubt that I would be here today to write you a snippet about how I wrote it. I'm not kidding. Music has saved my life more times than I can count.
Here's the process of how it came to be on this album. I sang the words and melody into a tape recorder. Then brought it to Basil Sabra, who put chords behind it. We then brought it into the studio, where Alan, Kai and Eric of Garaj Mahal, Basil and I crafted it into a song.
